Win 10 end of life

Microsoft has scheduled the Windows 10 operating system for “end of life” (EOL) in October 2025. SkyViewTek (SVT) is working with our clients to prepare for Windows 10 EOL by either scheduling the migration of certain compatible computers to Windows 11 and / or procuring new Windows 11 computers. In general, our recommendation is to consider migrating “compatible” Win10 computers. To migrate your Windows 10 Professional computers to Windows 11 Professional, your computers must meet the following minimum system requirements – https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications But if your computers do not meet these specs, then we recommend to replace the Win10 computers with Win11.

Assuming your Win10 computers do meet these requirements, then SVT can migrate these computers to Win11. For most users, a Win10 computer should still work well after migrating to Win11, with the primary benefit being improved security and some newer features, although performance may vary depending on your hardware specifications. Microsoft designed Win11 to be largely compatible with most Win10 applications and hardware, so most programs should function as expected after the upgrade. While most systems should see a smooth transition, older hardware might experience some performance slowdowns due to the increased demands of Win11. We will work with you to check 3rd party software compatibility as well, including printer drivers, for Win11.
