Many business clients ask us for help to figure out options to share date – with employees or external clients or vendors. There are many solutions, depending on the clients’ needs. What is most important to our client? For example, ease of access, security, cost, web-based.
Depending on our clients’ needs, SkyViewTek has implemented a variety of solutions over the years, including the following:
- OneDrive or Dropbox or Box, with one computer as main computer that is being backed up (least recommended)
- NAS Drive (but limitations – data sharing with user permissions; but minimal use of logical software like QuickBooks to be accessed among multiple users)
- Server (setup share drives with user permissions, plus VPN. Logical software, like QuickBooks, can be accessed by multiple users.)
- Other options (eFolder, SecureDrawer, and others)
Employees and clients or customers are able to access data, anytime, anywhere.
